Mommy's Lil Helper: Added Security

When a dog is lost, neighbors and strangers can help him find his way home if he's wearing a collar with updated tags. Why not do the same for kids? For wee ones who wonder off at the mall or find themselves stranded on a field trip, an identification tag may be just what youngsters need.

Etsy's Kennebug Boutique sells a sterling silver disc set that includes one with "Mommy" or "Call Mommy" engraved on it and a second one with mom's phone number hand stamped in the charm. For $10, you can fix the shiny do–dad on a chain necklace or a charm bracelet. For more conspicuous places, tie it onto a shoelace or attach it to a zipper on a backpack. Your child will feel better knowing mommy is just a phone call away.

The cheaper version available at Petsmart/Petco/etc. For about $5.00 and no shipping/handling you can make make one for your child - choose the heart shaped piece instead of the dog bone. I'll be sure to pick one up for my niece and nephew the next time I'm designing a new one for my pup Smiling

Rally RE what a fantastic idea. I like the one above but the heart shaped one would be just fine Smiling
