Babysugar and I were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the Sex and the City movie last week, but while everyone oogled the fab four — Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda, I had my eye on the new girl in town — Lily. The four-year-old adopted daughter of Charlotte York and Harry Goldenblatt was quite the scene stealer. And, production designer Jeremy Conway put great thought into designing the lil lady's pink lair. Our girl, Casa had a chance to ask him what inspired his creation. He said:
With Lily it's the kind of scene in her apartment where Charlotte wants Lily to feel we're all the same all over the world.
What girl wouldn't love her multicultural dolls, chandelier and polka dot wing chair? But, it was the hot pink wallpaper with hand drawn Chinese lanterns that caught my eye.

1For my taste there is too much going on here for a child's room. It would be difficult to fall asleep at night.

It's made by Harlequin (#70822 "Tropical Heaven") and is available at walnutwallpaper.com in US as well as from a UK website wallpaperdirect.co.uk (it seems the UK site is MUCH less expensive and they ship to US(about $30/roll compared to $125 per roll).

13How come this site always refers to Lily as the "adopted daughter" of Charlotte? Why can't you guys just refer to her as the "daughter" of Charlotte? I myself am a journalist and would not have used such insensitive phrasing.
