Carla Bruni isn't the only singer to catch French President Nicolas Sarkozy's eye. The Grand Master of the Legion of Honor presented the supremely talented Celine Dion with the Legion of Honor in Paris. For a celebmama who is used to the center stage, she usually shies away from the shutterbug.
The family looked lovely en route to the poignant event. Celine was exquisite in her frilly frock while husband, René Angélil was a dapper escort. Their son René-Charles Dion Angélil sported white sneakers and long locks adding some rock and roll to his otherwise buttoned–up ensemble. I've heard people snicker at his untamed tresses, but think they complement the lad's proper attire. I'd bet the lil ladies around town think so too.

Is there some reason for the long hair on the kid? I don't think it's very flattering to him, but I'm wondering if there is some tradition or cultural thing they are doing.
1I have no problem with long hair on boys, but that just looks messy and terrible. Personally, I don't like it, but I guess that doesn't matter. When Celine Dion id your mother you can do anything you want.
2She said that she cant wait for her son to get his hair cut, but he just doesnt want so she is not forcing him.
3at least make the kid brush it before meeting the French president.
4Celine's dress is melting.
5I agree, cut that poor kid's nasty stringy hair. YUCK.
6They came to a golf course nearby where I live, and all the employees said they were the rudest, meanest, stuck up people they'd ever met....hmmmm....
7Well, the do look like a 3 generational family. I don't really mind one way or the other re. boys with long hair, but a trim on the split ends would be nice.
8she said she won't let them cut his hair... that he freaks out every time she tries. It looks ridiculous at this point, has gone way beyond cute.
9I'm sorry HE won't let them cut his hair... slip of the tongue (fingers) since he looks like a she.
10You hit the nail right on the head CJaneTyp
I couldn't agree more.
11long hair is one thing, but that's out of control
12if she hadn't said that he is the one who chooses to have it long, i'd deem it child abuse!
awww, his little blazer is so cute
you don't see him very often, cute but no a fan
of the long hair either.
13supercuts! please!!
14HE wont let her cut his hair, i dunno... i'm thinking HE'S A CHILD, he gets a haircut, because that's what you do, you teach your child basic hygiene along w/everything else you teach them (spelling is something i'll have to work a lil extra hard on because i can't for the life of me figure out if i spelled hygeine, hygiene, HI GENE correctly).
15All the 'ole hacks', criticizing the kid's hair. He's a kid and should be allowed to have lockes out of place. My son had beautiful hair til the 'ole hacks' bully-kids got after him - calling him a girl. Watch my son stroll, and if you thought for one second that he had any femine qualities in his posture, walk and/or mannerisms, I'd be just as skeptical of your perceptions. Hygiene?! What!? Your understanding of the word is a little off - leave the academics for the teachers. You could have real pretty hair baby and still be 'dirty' - your sense of fashion has nothing to do with your hygiene.
