Sex and the City and Melrose Place creator Darren Star, along with SONY and NBC are reportedly in the works to create another show for television. The hour long must see is set to take place in the posh Brooklyn neighborhood of Park Slope.
To see what a Park Slope mama has to say about the rumored project, read more.
If Park Slope sounds familiar, it's because we've run a few stories on the chichi neighborhood that constantly makes headlines due to baby and mama drama.
The beautiful area is notorious for stroller pushing mommies who sip on coffee and talk on their cell phones ad nauseam.
Local dweller and mother of two, Barbara Buenz told the New York Post:
I hope it's not going to be a bunch of moms doing Pilates and drinking their lattes because that's not me.
It might not be a reflection of her, but every girl in New York City isn't Carrie Bradshaw. I'm crossing my fingers they at least show the bar vs. stroller conflict in one episode!
After all, Notes from the Underbelly and Jon and Kate Plus 8 can't be our only prime time television, right?

OMG I love Park Slope. I live walking distance from the neighborhood. I have been in that neighborhood for year. I have been to the bar's and I take my kids shopping with me one the weekend. I am curious to see how realistic the show will be.
1This is so ridiculous. I lived in Brooklyn my whole life and went to school in Park Slope... chichi it is not - as to why they want to make a show revolving around this neighborhood I haven't the slightest clue... what are they going to show you - the BN on 7th Avenue? Or maybe they'll show people at Prospect Park sitting on a bench lol
2Park Slope may not be posh like Park Ave., but it's a very expensive, mostly upper middle class nabe with liberal, educated parents who obsess about breast feeding and organic food. It's as much a neighborhood with a distinct identity as the W. Village or UES, so of course a show could be made there.
(Also, I didn't realize when you were pregnant you could only watch lame shows about children and pregnancy!)
