Many pregnant women get the linea negra — the brown line that runs from the nether regions to the belly button and sometimes upward.
I made it about half way through my pregnancy before it started to appear on my bump. It has since disappeared.
Did you get the linea negra?

I got it and it stuck around about 8 months postpartum. I'm not complaining though, I kind of liked my little pregnancy tattoo
.
1I got a faint one at the end of my pregnancy. I still have it, but it's fading, so hopefully it will be gone soon.
2I'm actually two days overdue at the moment and my line is REALLY dark, but I'm okay with that.
3mine came in around 6 months and is crooked and off-center (goes around the belly button). i'm extremely fair-skinned, and it was pretty pale as well. my daughter will be 6 months next week and it's just now starting to fade.
4I got a dark one with my first that didn't fade for many months after he was born. With this pregnancy I just now (8mos) noticed it, and it's pretty faint.
5I'm pregnant and I got one. My hubby loves it.
6Yes, mine was very dark brown, maybe due to my complexion. My daughter will be 1 in a couple of days, and it just recently faded out completely.
7I'm "other"... because I can't remember to save my life! Now my labors on the other hand, I can recall in great detail =)
8I had a dark brown line that went ALL the way up
9I never got one, no stretch marks either. My tummy has no pregnancy evidence on it at all. It's kinda wierd.
10I never got any stretch marks either, fashionista, and expect my line will fade really soon. Then as soon as I lose the last of my baby weight, I'll hopefully not have any evidence either (on my tummy anyhow). Woo!
11no. what causes that anyway? guessing the more fair you are the less your chance of getting one. i did get separated stomach muscles and now there is a gap that is like a line in that same area. totally would trade for the dark line, lol.
12I didn't get it with any of the pregnancies, but oddly I got it about a week after I had my third. It didn't last long, though. I expected to get it because I'm extremely fair-skinned.
I can easily see how someone would fit into "other" if they were lined and didn't love it.
13Oops that was supposed to day I didn't really expect to get it because I'm fair-skinned, not the other other way around.
14Nope, not with any of my four pregnancies.
(But I'm nearly corpse-pale. If I recollect my new-Mama-in-training education, this happens more often with darker toned women, as has been mentioned.)
