It's the makings of a Lifetime movie. A Florida woman faked being pregnant to steal money from adoption agencies in two counties that gave her assistance with rent, medical, and electrical bills to the tune of $6,000.
To learn how her ruse unraveled, read more.
A First Coast News article explained how Shawanda Butler got caught in her ruse.
But when representatives from the Little Angels of America went to check up on the 24-year-old at her home, they say she refused to show them her pregnant stomach. Instead, she went inside a bedroom and stuffed her stomach with a pillow.
She is currently facing organized fraud charges.

Sick, sick, sick!!!! I saw this show (forgot what channel) but a reporter was interviewing this
woman who basically scammed some families into believing that she would be a surrogate mother for them because they couldn't have children. She collected their money and the families never
heard from her again. That's until she was caught and was confronted by one of the couples she scammed and the reporter. It's amazing that there are people like this who exist.
4ugh!! grr!!!
