My 19mo old son eats everything or puts it in his mouth. We go to music classes and the instruments are in his mouth. I give him crayons and instead of color he wants to eat them, and he really bites and chews the crayon. I can't get him to draw because of this. I tried those plastic Doodle things by Crayola, so no, even those did not work! Seeing Colin, I am prepared for a few more years of this.

Oh, and yes, I do feed him!

Does anyone else think these guys are kind of degrading to their kids? They speak about them like their idiots.

When I watch the show I do wonder about Colin, if the other kids like him. I've noticed that he is often set apart from the other kids, he sits further away from them and the other kids do not seem to bond with him. I saw a more than a few videos on you tube.com where Colin picks on Aaden, in one video Colin bit Aaden just above his pantyline and in the center of his spine(becasuse he was trying to steal Aaden's truck, in another I saw him Poke Aaden in the eye, and Aaden was just standing there. The video with Mady (Kate likes to promote the idea that Mady is mean and cruel to the little kids, but I think the opposite is true). They take and break her things, and I'm sure she (Mady) realizes that there would be no show if the little kids had not been born. Well, anyway, Colin runs up to Mady and pounds her on top of the head, so she she hits him back, although not as hard as he hit her. The point I am trying to make is you have to look for these videos, because the one you see on the clips that are on the show is of Mady hitting Colin only, not him starting it and getting back what he gave in return.

I also wonder if there is something wrong with him on a psychological level, to me he seems and looks mean. I think out of all the little kids he looks the most like Kate and he seems to share her personality traits as well.

I'm just putting this out there in case someone knows more than I do.

There is nothing wrong with Collin. THEY HAVE EIGHT KIDS! He's the quiet one. There is nothing wrong with that. Collin was 3 years old, so obviously he couldn't hit hard. He most certainly is not mean! He is a real sweetie if you have watched all of the episodes that they have ever made (like me lol). I'm not saying this because he is my favorite even though he is, it's just that I really feel bad for him because people are always putting him down. I'm not trying to be rude, though. Just stating my opinion. I love Collin to death and I don't know why people don't like him, but it's my personal goal to change someone's view on my little Collin

I watched a marathon of Jon/Kate+8 last weekend and the one kid that seems as troubled as Mady is Collin. He does stuff just to be mean or to make others annoyed. I have a feeling he could end up with some serious "issues" if that sort of behavior is left unchecked. Maybe it's just a phase *crosses fingers*, but it is still a tad troubling to watch.
