Some moms carry brag books while others have baby's name and birthday tattooed on their bods. For trendsetting moms like Kate Hudson, Nicole Richie, and Courteney Cox, a simple pendant necklace is what they wear to remind them of their lil love.

Not on the cheap, these Jennifer Meyer necklaces are crafted from 18K gold- and diamond-encrusted letters. At $1,250 a pop, the eye candy would have most new mums seeing stars.

I love this idea a lot more than brag books or tattoos. I want one for my own name!
1When I saw Nicole's necklace a few weeks ago, I commented to my husband how much I LOVED it. Too bad they are so pricey. But I did get a silver charm necklace from my in-laws with my new son's name, so I suppose I can't complain!
2Awwww I never thought about this one before, I love the idea...
Something new for my wishlist, lol
3Beautiful! Reminds me of the big banners the marching bands carry in high school. What a wonderful way to tell the world that you have a child. I wonder if it comes in platinum.
4too blingy, but i like the idea. i think i'd want to pick up something similar, an initial but a bit edgier, something etsy is great for!
5I LOVE Jennifer Meyer's stuff usually....I have her leaf necklace and think it is the most perfect piece of jewelry ever designed! I was so excited about these and went to pick one up for myself as a "gift" from my son...boy was I disappointed. When you actually see these they look cheap and tinny, not at all classy. I was really bummed!
6Does anyone know where I could find something very similar for a more affordable price? I LOVE the Jennifer Meyer necklaces too, but they are way out of my price range!
7actually i found really cool modern name and initial charms @ www.calecamo.com. they are unique and reasonably priced.
8I found a delicate initial necklace from Urban Outfitters
