As moms, we receive advice from just about everyone. But some of the most solid input comes from those old hands at raising children — our own mothers.

Raising four children on the go created quite a few sticky hands. But wary of the chemicals in 1980s diaper wipes and not wanting to run back and forth to mall and park bathrooms all day, my mom kept four wet washcloths (a different color for each kid) in Ziploc baggies in her purse for quick clean ups. They also came in handy for car spills and other lil messes.
