Many expectant moms experience the popped belly button phase. Some navels make themselves known in the second trimester, while others wait until late in the last trimester. And still some never pop.
This past weekend, actress Cate Blanchett showed off her burgeoning belly and her prominent belly button as she had laundry duty in Sydney.

Mine never popped, but it was likely due to scar tissue in my navel from my previous gallbladder surgery. I think it might have otherwise!
1Yup, I thought everyone's did. With this pregnancy it hasn't yet (5mos along).

No, mine didn't. My bump never looked more than a standard 6 month bump, and a week before I gave birth, a woman in the supermarket talked about me being 'halfway through my pregnancy'. My daughter also has an outie, because she had an umbilical hernia for the first 4 months of her life. I'm glad you think it's cute, bealotus - I've been worried other people will think it's odd, and I only think it's cute because I love every molecule in her body and think everything she does is cute, from dribbling to screaming tantrums.
10I'm not pregnant and not planning to for awhile haha, but if it pops out, will it go back in?? I love my innie, haha is that weird to say? My mom always thought I had a good one.
11I'm 36 weeks, and mine hasn't popped. It has definately moved- it's more shallow... but technically still an innie.
12I never could stand to have my belly button touched (even by me) so when it popped out w/my first daughter it was pretty tough to get used to. For some reason it had always been a bit sensitive. Now it doesn't bother me at all (to loveleighdancer - mine did go back in!).

14Ha! Tamma I was thinking the same thing... Mine never popped... I kept waiting and waiting and it never happened. And I asked my doc if something was wrong because it hadn't popped out and he just laughed at me, lol
15Mine got a weird ledge, like the top half of it wanted to pop but the bottom half wasn't budging
What made it worse was my 9 year old was obsessed with it popping and checked on it every day. If I wasn't paying attention he would stick his finger in it... that's nearly as
bad as dragging finger nails across a chalk board :-E
16Mine never popped but, in all fairness, it would've had to fight for that since I was overweight to begin with. Poor belly button.
17my belly button popped out and it was realy itchy
18i loved my innie bet after my 1st baby it popped back into place(yey!)
