Many women love the feeling and ease that baby carriers offer. Mamas don't have to worry about managing a stroller or keeping both hands busy.

Slings are timeless but in recent years, inventions like the Baby Bjorn, Snugli, Ergo, and other carriers have flooded the market place making it tough for a mom to select one.

Did you have a baby carrier? If so, which one?

In a wrap. I love it. It keeps him so calm and close to me. Perfect in the city. And it is so comfortable, and my son is quite big, plus a lot easier to use then I first imagined.

I've always wondered about these... How long can you use it for? I want one but I'm not sure if I'd actually use it that much... Is it worth the money???

    Anyone have any advice?

i have a maya wrap, a fleece pouch and an active bjorn (the one with lumbar support). my first (now two used all three, but particularly liked the pouch. this time around, the 8 week old has shown a definite preference for the bjorn which is a bummer since it's much bulkier to tote around. don;t tell my husband, but i juts ordered the beco butterfly and cannot wait til it arrives. doea anyone else have a beco? what do you think?

I had the bjorn and liked it for my son but it started hurting as he got heavier. I just got the Moby wrap to try with my second. It sure beats getting the stroller out or carring the infant car seat around.

I used the wrap sling while little and breast-feeding and then the ergo when older. Both are great options that can be used from birth to toddler.

I used a Bjorn and loved it. It really was a lifesaver for my last baby in the first few months. I've always been curious about a sling. I see people using them with older baby and I would love to but at this point I don't think Alyssa would dig it lol

I had the Bjorn and used it a lot for my son but not much for my daughter. I really, really wanted to be a sling mommy and I tried, but I just couldn't get it right. Sad

My daughter is turning 8 next week, but I used the Snugli for a little bit when she was a baby. I found that it was really uncomfortable and heavy. I did use it sometimes in the house when I was alone with her and needed to do stuff. My husband, who is 6'4", 210 found it to be uncomfortable and heavy as well.

I first had the Bjorn and all of my sons hated it. It wasn't very comfortable either. I now have a Moby wrap and my baby and I both love it.

I have a wrap and a bjorn. I could never quite figure out the wrap and get it tight enough to support my guy. Then he got a little too heavy for the bjorn, but it was good for cleaning around the house. He always fell asleep.

The bjorn was a lifesaver when my son was colicky. My arms would have otherwise fallen off. I wish I would have gotten the one with the lumbar support, but they were all out of them at the store when we bought ours. Oh well.
