For parents, painting the town red on Valentine's Day means booking restaurant reservations up to a year in advance, finding a babysitter to keep an eye on the kids, and figuring out how to spend the rest of the night.
Since a dozen roses can set a spouse back $100 alone, some couples shun the marketed holiday. Still others welcome the opportunity to party.
What are your plans?

We're going out, but keeping it totally low key b/c our anniversary is 4 days later.
1usually we stay in but this year it just so happens the VanHalen concert is on Valentines Day! The tix were a Christmas gift for hubby so we will be rockin the night away!!
2I would rather stay home this year. It's on a Thursday and I know all restaurants will be packed. I would rather go out on a different night. V-day is a bit overrated.
3My husband and I stayed at home last year....I had my daughter nine months later...
4We are taking our 10 year old son and having dinner at our favorite place. ♥
5IM HAVING A BABY!!! =)
I'm giving my husband and daughter the best gift possible...a son/little brother! we are all beyond excited!
6We don't celebrate valentines day. My husbands birthday is the day after and I would rather just celebrate that. I never really understood why everyone got so excited over valentines, like someone else said, it is overrated.
7I'm fine with staying home for Valentine's Day and all other holidays, too!
8I hate Valentines day, it makes single people feel like crap, it makes couples spend ridiculous amounts of money on stupid gifts and restaurants are always packed and the service always stinks. Staying in with the one/ones you love is way better and on Feb 15 all the candy goes on sale!
9We normally would go out, but the whole house is sick with a nasty cold. So my husband is cooking me dinner.
His cooking is way better than restaurant food anyway.
