This is awful! If anything, it is like those terrifyingly skinny pictures used to show anorexics how bad the disease is, and we're just triggering them... or anti drug ads with syringes and drugs, trying to tell ppl not to want it. What we see as bad won't make someone who doesn't see it as bad suddenly change their mind. It isn't like pedophiles are unaware we're not ok with what they do! The internet really is a terrifying aspect there - much like the pro-ana phenomenon, ppl that were once ostracized are able to find each other and support their actions, share tactics, and make these scary ways seem normal.

also - I like the "Just because she has the body, doesn't mean she has the brain" slogan, because that is the entire reasoning behind my prosecuting adults who have sex with 15 year olds... I think the thought there is the Miley Cyrus photos coming out - she is obviously a child, and at 15 or 16 she's not looking like a kid anymore, she's not looking like an adult, but is acting sexier... but still has no brains. I don't like these altered photos, but that is a GREAT truth on why adults can never ever have a truly consensual relationship with someone that young.

This is really strange. IMO a pedophile likes the child body with "little girl" or "little boy" looks. I don't think they would like a child who is so physically mature. I am not an expert on this...just my thoughts.

I'm not sure if I think this is a terrible idea or a great idea. I definitely think awareness needs to be raised about this issue and I do agree with shocking people to raise that awareness. I'm not sure that this is the right way though.

Dude, thats so wrong...I really don't understand the point. Also, the caption says "if you're over 18 and having sex with an underage girl...". What if a guy is 18 and having sex with his 17 yo girlfried...way to make him feel like a sick pervert. I think posters like these are self-defeating. If a creep is going to have sex with a little girl, he's not going to look at a poster and think "oh, maybe I shouldn't, its statutory rape"...no, he'll do it anyway. Done my rant...

First off I don't like these ads. But what I think they were trying to do worked on us, but I'm not sure it will work on the offenders. It's supposed to creep you out and make you see it as wrong to think of young girls this way.

These pictures are incredibly disturbing. And I'm really not grasping the point of this campaign - is it really considered statutory rape to have sex with a 10 to 12 year old in Wisconsin!? Isn't that classified as something a little more severe than statutory rape!?

Genuinely not sure how I feel about this! It is an arresting and discomfiting image. It isn't about paedophilia it's about the responsibility of understanding that even 'consensual' sex is not something a young girl is emotionally equipped to 'consent' to. It's offensive - but I don't know if it's needlessly offensive. I really can't call it.

These are absolutely disgusting. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the words in these ads are in the background and hard to read. There are much better ways to raise awareness rather than photoshopping some pervert's fantasy.

Oh my, that is really disturbing. While I agree that awareness needs to be raised, I do not think that this is the right way. On the other hand, it does have people talking. IMHO, it's in bad taste.
